Wisata Selera Indofood at Surabaya

Thousands people from Surabaya and the surrounding area filled the Parking Area of Kodam V Brawijaya’s Headquarter on Sunday 24th August 2008. They really enjoyed the exciting family culinary event called “Wisata Selera Indofood”.

The event started by Fun Walk with 15,000 participants including families with toddlers as the participants and it was merry and exciting. Also, there were 40 famous Surabaya and East Java’s hawkers, such as Rawon Setan, Rujak Cingur, Kikil, Soto Madura,Nasi Krawu, Nasi Dug Byeng, etc and not to forget numbers of new foods creation that were  made from Indofood’s product. There were also cooking demonstration from professional chef, cooking competition, children’s playground, bazaar of Indofood’s product, which makes the 20,000 visitors happier. The ambience becoming more enhanced with magic and clowns performance, music from Orkes Melayu Sonata, Indomie Jingle Dare Winner, Tiga Dara, and the presence of actor Rizal Djibran.

The reasonable price for the whole family one stop entertainment and involving active participation from the people through social organizations made Wisata Selera Indofood in Surabaya appreciated positively by the people, local government, and the media. Also present in the event were Mrs. Dyah Katarina, wife of Surabaya Mayor and Mrs. Pongky Bambang Sumarno, wife of Territorial Military Head of Staff (Kasdam).
