The third city to host the Supermi Go Launching event was Yogyakarta, and the event was held on 9 August 2008 at Alun-Alun Selatan Kraton.
On this occasion, Supermi created a replica of the famed Borobudur temple, using 77,480 packs instant noodles as the building block. The replica consists of the Central stupa, 72 mid-sized stupa, 584 arca and 8 walls which took 7 days to complete.
The crowd start to build up from 10 a.m., when bazaar tents selling snacks, syrup, seasoning and instant noodles were set up and were immediately swarmed by Yogyakarta residents eager to snap up bargains. Starting from 2 pm, 5,000 people got a chance to try free samples of the new Supermi GoBang, Gokar and GoSo. The crowd were entertained by clowns, performers, dancers, marching band and local bands.

MURI officials were on hand to measure the replica, and they granted the Borobudur replica made of Supermi instant noodles an entry in the book of records. The structure officially measures 15.9m x 15.9m at its base, with a height of 5.6m.
The final performer of the day was the Project Pop which entertained a crowd of about 15,000 till late at night.
After the event, the replica was dias-assembled and the 77,480 Supermi instant noodles were donated to Kraton Representative to be distributed to the poor and to orphanages.
