On 20 August 2008, enthusiastic employees of Indofood Noodles Bandung arrived as early as 6 a.m. to take part in another Supermi MURI record attempt, to break the record for “The Longest Noodle”.
At exactly 7 a.m., strings of noodle start to stream out from the production line, onto a succession of plywood boards lined with packaging sheet and carried by 1,500 Indofood employees around the factory to form an unbroken stretch of noodles hundreds of metres long.
Taking 1 hour and 18 minutes to produce, MURI declared Supermi the new record holder for “The Longest Noodle” measuring 1,000 metres or 1 kilometre long, breaking the previous record set by Mie Sedaap at 300 metres.

This record proves once again that Indofood produces high quality noodle made from high quality flour, that’s why it remains unbroken for 1 kilometre long!

They came to cheer on their favourite team. Toward the end of the game Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) team “A” emerged as the winner and will represent Bandung in the Grand Final of Supermi Soccer.
The Indofood Bazaar stands were also busy throughout the day, and as usual, queues of enthusiastic people who received Supermi coupons lined up to sample the 5,000 free portion of Supermi GoBang, GoKar, and GoSo. Various performers, music, games, clowns entertained attendees the whole day.
