The Grand Final of 2008 POP MIE CHEERLEADANCE NATIONAL COMPETITION was held on Sunday, November 2nd 2008 at Britama Sport Mall, Kelapa Gading Jakarta.

Participants competing for the Grand Final were all the winners from the preliminary rounds that were held over at 5 cities in Indonesia. They gathered in Jakarta in order to compete at the Grand Final round to be the National Champion with the grand prize of “Hong Kong Disneyland Tour”

Sport Mall Kelapa Gading was already packed with all of the supporters from each participant’s team since early in the morning. That makes many of the spectators willing to sit at the courtyard to watch the competition because of there were no seats left. The loudness of the music and the supporting noises from the spectators made the excitement atmosphere can be really felt at Sport Mall Kelapa Gading.

The event was guided by Teuku Wisnu (Pop Mie’s Icon) also Nirina Zubir as the on air host, it was also supported by Nidji Band, Olga Syahputra, and Chika as the off air host, also ICC, Alfa Plus Dancer, Rojali Pom-pom Boys, which made the event more merrier.

After two acts from each participants, the grand jury, which consist of Mr. Arinto, Ms. Ade Herlina, and Mr. Benjamin Tong (from Singapore) decided the winners of 2008 POP MIE CHEERLEADANCE NATIONAL COMPETITION are:

1st Prize Winner            : SMA YAKOBUS, Jakarta
2nd Prize Winner           : SMKN 4, Surabaya
3rd Prize Winner            : SMA KARANG TURI, Semarang
4th Prize Winner            : SMAN 82 Junior, Jakarta
5th Prize Winner            : SMAN 3, Cimahi.
