Indofood Financial Results For the Period Ended 31 March 2020
• Consolidated net sales increased 1% to Rp19.30 trillion
• Income from operations increased 33% to Rp3.43 trillion
• Core profit increased 23% to Rp1.52 trillion
Jakarta, 22 May 2020 – PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (“Indofood” or the “Company”) today announced its financial results for the period ended 31 March 2020. The Company posted 1% growth in consolidated net sales to Rp19.30 trillion from Rp19.17 trillion last year.
Income from operations increased 33% to Rp3.43 trillion from Rp2.58 trillion, and operating margin expanded to 17.8% from 13.4%. Income for the period attributable to equity holders of the parent entity grew 4% to Rp1.40 trillion from Rp1.35 trillion, and net margin improved to 7.3% from 7.0%. Core profit increased 23% to Rp1.52 trillion from Rp1.24 trillion.
Anthoni Salim, the President Director and Chief Executive Officer of Indofood, said: “Amidst the current challenging global situation, Indofood has been able to maintain good performance in the first quarter of 2020. Moving forward, we will continue to be cautious while still enhancing our competitiveness.”
