John William Ryan

Mr. John William Ryan, 54, Irish Citizen, was appointed as a Commissioner of Indofood based on the resolution of the AGM in 2019. He concurrently serves as Associate Director of First Pacific Company Limited (2019-present) and also the Chief Investor Relations and Sustainability Officer of First Pacific Group (2010-present). Prior to joining First Pacific Group, he was Head of Corporate Communications, Asia Pacific for HSBC’s wholesale bank (2004-2007), and Bureau Chief in Dow Jones (1998–2004) in Moscow and Hong Kong. Previously, he spent several years as a financial journalist, opening and leading Bloomberg’s Moscow bureau (1990-1995).

Mr. Ryan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Connecticut in 1988 and studied Slavonic and East European Studies at St. Antony’s College, Oxford University in 1990.

He has no affiliation with the members of the BOC or BOD, but is affiliated to the Company’s substantial shareholder.
