In response to mass media reports regarding the detection of ethylene oxide (“EtO”) in Indomie Soto Banjar Limau Kuit flavour in Taiwan, the following is a statement released by BPOM RI, clarifying that Indomie is safe for consumption and complies with product safety and quality regulations:

Regarding the announcement by Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) concerning the recall of Indomie Instant Noodles originating from Indonesia due to the absence of allergen information, PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk (“ICBP” or the “Company”) wishes to provide the following clarification:

PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (Indofood) announced that there are unauthorized parties posing as Indofood and/or the director of Indofood for fraudulent activities. The fraud occurs in the form of online raffles /minigames via group chats on an instant messaging platform (Telegram), requiring participants to deposit a large sum of money periodically.

PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (Indofood) has announced that there is an unauthorized party that has used Indofood with the aim of attracting the attention of buyers/potential investors. Methods used include offering wood pallet with open batch system through instagram account @violettarescue.  The company confirms that Indofood has no collaboration with Wood Pellet Reseller Violettas Rescue.
