Product Responsibility

We build our food business on responsible production and customer satisfaction. Indofood has implemented a rigorous quality control system that complies with ISO 9001:2008 for Quality Management System and ISO 22000:2005 for Food Safety Management System to produce safe, hygienic and high quality F&B products for consumers.

Halal Commitment
All Indofood F&B products are Halal certified with Sistem Jaminan Halal (“SJH”) by the Assesment Institute for Food, Drugs and Cosmetics of the Indonesian Council of Ulemas (“LPPOM MUI”). The Indofood Halal Secretariate (“IHS”), comprising 368 representatives from all divisions, ensures that our halal requirements conform with the SJH established by LPPOM MUI. SJH is a HAS 23000 standard which is an international reference and is recognized by 41 foreign certification institutions it has facilitated our exports to these countries. In 2014, IHS and LPPOM MUI jointly conducted training sessions for 368 Indofood internal halal auditors. Together with the Indofood Corporate Communications Division, IHS also coordinated activities for ‘Program Dhuafa Care Movement’, an annual event organized by LPPOM MUI to distribute food packages to Islamic educational institutions during Ramadan.

Consumer Service Facility
Customers are key stakeholders of Indofood and we strive to improve consumers’ satisfaction and experience by providing quality products and reliable services, and listening to their feedback. Both Bogasari Group and CBP Group have respectively implemented the Bogasari Customer Service (LAGANSA) and the Indofood Consumer Services (“ICS”) with the aim to improve consumer communication. In 2014, the ICS was extended to Indofood corporate. In 2014, ICS received more than 1 million phone calls and 13,800 emails, most of which were requests for product information and promotions. In 2014, all customer enquiries have been satisfactorily addressed and resolved.
