Jakarta, November 25, 2025. The UI Ultra running competition is back. This year, FEUI Runners under the auspices of ILUNI FEB UI, is collaborating with PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (“Indofood”) to present Indofood UI Ultra 2025. As an end-of-year running event, the Indofood UI Ultra 2025 is set to be a vibrant affair with the theme Neon Glow Run! #We Run the Night, Own the Dawn, offering a unique experience of running and competing from sunset to sunrise.
Since its inception in 2020, the University of Indonesia's UI Ultra has grown into one of the most anticipated running competitions, featuring an ultra-running concept with a closed loop route around the University of Indonesia campus in Depok.
Yunita Randanan, Chief of the UI Ultra 2025 Organizing Committee, explained, “This year's event will be even more festive, with the theme Neon Glow Run – We Run the Night, Own the Dawn. In addition to being a competitive event, we hope this event can also serve as a platform for networking and collaboration between alumni across different generations, faculties, communities, and the general public.”
This year, public enthusiasm has increased significantly. With a nearly 70% increase in registrants, UI Ultra 2025 is expected to be attended by a total of nearly 6,000 participants. This year, UI Ultra has also strengthened its position as one of Indonesia's most prestigious running events by obtaining certification from the Indonesian Athletics Association (PASI) for the Marathon and Half Marathon categories, an important step towards international standards in the organization of running events in Indonesia.
Furthermore, ILUNI FEB UI Chairman Ubaidillah Nugraha added, "As in previous years, UI Ultra is not only a sporting event, but also carries a mission of kindness to raise funds to support various social programs, particularly in the field of education. This year, part of the funds raised through this event will be allocated to the University of Indonesia Endowment Fund and the ILUNI FEB UI #WhereWeBelong Scholarship, a step that reflects our dedication to supporting the implementation of the Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education): Education and Teaching, Research and Development, and Community Service."
Synergy for Healthy Lifestyles and National Sports Development
As a food and beverage company that produces Indomie, Indomilk, and Club, which are close to the hearts of Indonesians, Indofood remains committed to supporting active lifestyles and the development of national sports, one of which is through running and marathon events, which have now become one of the most popular sports among the public.
Head of Corporate Communications at PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk, Stefanus Indrayana, said, "Indofood is proud to support the organization of the Indofood UI Ultra 2025. This participation aligns with our commitment to continue promoting a healthy and active lifestyle in the community. Running and marathons are increasingly becoming a positive lifestyle across generations. We believe that through this event, we can build synergy, not only for the advancement of running sports in the country, but also to inspire a spirit of togetherness, solidarity, and a positive lifestyle, especially for the younger generation in Indonesia.”
Sports, Education, and Environmental Awareness
In line with the spirit of continuing to grow and bring about goodness, at Indofood UI Ultra 2025, Indofood also strengthened its participation by collaborating with Rekosistem to implement green initiatives to manage all event waste during the event in a responsible manner in accordance with the principles of recycling for a circular economy.
Waste collection during the two days of Indofood UI Ultra 2025 will be carried out by providing waste bins scattered throughout the event area. All collected waste will then be transported and managed through the Rekosistem Waste Hub, from sorting to distribution to recycling partners according to the type of material.
Additionally, a team of ‘Rekomentors’ will be present as educators who will interact directly with visitors to provide education and inspiration on small steps for proper waste management, such as sorting and recycling various types of waste materials.
"We realize that sustainability is an important aspect that we must continue to build together. Indofood UI Ultra 2025 is a good momentum to build positive synergy and collaboration. We hope that through initiatives and various educational activities related to waste management and the environment during this event, we can continue to inspire small steps for our shared environment," added Stefanus Indrayana, Head of Corporate Communications at Indofood.
To ensure transparent measurement and reporting, the Rekosistem team will collect data on the amount of waste collected and managed during the implementation of activities through an integrated digital dashboard monitoring and reporting system.
Indofood UI Ultra 2025 will take place over two days, from Saturday to Sunday, December 6–7, 2025, with a closed-loop running competition concept covering a distance of 7KM (1 loop) within the campus area of the University of Indonesia, Depok. Indofood UI Ultra 2025 will feature several running categories, each with different start times. The first stage will start on Saturday evening, December 6 (Night Race), covering the Ultra Individual 70KM (10 loops), Ultra Relay 5 (5 relay runners, each running 2 loops), Marathon (6 loops), Half Marathon (3 loops), and Individual 7KM (1 loop) categories.
