Indomie Nyemek on The Block”: Warmindo-Style Nyemek Takes the Hype to the Next Level!

Jakarta, 13 February 2026. As an instant noodle brand that has been present in Indonesia for more than 50 years, Indomie continues its commitment to delivering fresh innovations rooted in the nation’s culinary culture. Its latest breakthrough comes through the Indomie Hype Abis Mi Nyemek line, inspired by the creativity of Warmindo-style (Warung Makan Indomie) mi nyemek and reimagined with a modern, relevant, and practical twist to deliver a fun and hype next-level culinary experience.

To celebrate the mi nyemek culinary trend sensation, Indomie presents ‘Indomie Nyemek on The Block’, a collaborative space that blends creativity, the spirit of innovation, and flavor exploration. For 3 days (13–15 February 2026), ‘Indomie Nyemek on The Block’ is held at La Piazza Lobby, Gandaria City Mall, Jakarta. The event serves as a dynamic meeting point for the brand, communities, local Warmindo legends, and the younger generation. Visitors can enjoy a vibrant fusion of culinary experiences, entertainment, and interactive digital activities. ‘Indomie Nyemek on The Block’ also features two inspiring legendary Warmindo figures: Bang Agem, pioneer of Mi Banglahdes’e from Warmindo Agem Senyum Ketawa, Medan, which went viral, as well as Ibu Siti Artani, creator of the Mie Nyemek recipe from Warmindo Mie Nyemekee Bu Siti, Yogyakarta.

‘Indomie Nyemek on The Block’ featured various exciting and interactive activities, including Legendary Nyemek Experience: enjoy dishes prepared by Warmindo legends Bang Agem from Warkop Agem Senyum Ketawa Medan & Bu Siti from Warmindo Mie Nyemekee Bu Siti Jogja, Waktu Indomie Berdendang (WIB) with Nyanyi Bareng Jakarta and Juicy Luicy, photo spots, arcade games, interactive digital activities, and trendy merchandise creations that can be customized to suit invididual styles.

From Legendary Warmindo Recipes to Contemporary Culinary Sensation
Complementing Indomie’s diverse portfolio of favorite variants, the Indomie Hype Abis line was developed to explore emerging culinary trends and deliver bold, unique, and exciting flavor experiences. In mid-2025, Indomie Hype Abis collaborated with Warmindo Agem Senyum Ketawa Medan, the pioneer of the viral Mi Banglahdes’e menu, to present Indomie Hype Abis Mi Nyemek ala Banglahdes’e. The collaboration then continued at the end of the year with Warmindo Mie Nyemekee Bu Siti, Yogyakarta, inspiring the launch of Indomie Hype Abis Mi Nyemek ala Jogja.

Bang Agem of Warmindo Agem Senyum Ketawa Medan shared his story: “Creativity can emerge from any kitchen, including a humble Warmindo. I never imagined that the mi nyemek sensation inspired by Banglahdes’e, once available only at our Warmindo, would grow into a culinary favorite enjoyed by so many. It is an incredible source of pride for us. We hope to see continued innovation through exciting new collaborations that not only delight customers but also empower culinary MSMEs like ours to grow and elevate to the next level.”

Echoing Bang Agem, Ibu Siti from Warmindo Bu Siti, Yogyakarta, also shared her inspiration: “For me, mi nyemek is simple but has a nostalgic taste, warm, savory, and comforting. I’m very happy that my Warmindo creation can be elevated to something broader without losing its uniqueness. Hopefully, more people can enjoy nyemek ala Jogja more practically, while inspiring more culinary entrepreneurs to be confident in their creations.”

Through the Indomie Hype Abis Mi Nyemek innovation, Indomie reinforces its position as a trendsetter within Indonesia’s culinary landscape. The distinctive Warmindo-style nyemek texture, known for its thick broth and bold flavors, is now available for convenient and instant enjoyment. “This is not goreng, not kuah, this is the new mi nyemek with a little broth! Just add 12 tablespoons of boiling water, and everyone can enjoy the distinctive mi nyemek sensation,” explained Cherie.
