The SUN Movement is a global multisectoral collaboration with operations in 61 countries aimed at eliminating all forms of malnutrition. It is supported by the SUN Business Network (“SBN”), which comprises more than 600 business members, including Indofood.
In 2019, Indofood continued to leverage its role as the Global Co-Chair of the SBN Advisory Group and initiator of SBN Indonesia to support the national fight against malnutrition. Key activities included the SUN Pitch Competition, which was co-organized with Innovation Factory Jakarta. The competition drew 65 local startups, who presented proposals for curbing anemia and malnutrition in Indonesia. A winner was selected to participate in a global event in 2020. Indofood also supported the Asian Congress of Nutrition 2019, and played an active role in the Philanthropy and Business Forum for Sustainable Development Goals (“FBI4SDGs”) to encourage collaboration between philanthropic and business stakeholders in achieving Sustainable Development Goals (“SDGs”).
